Meet your dentist

Dr. Anu Korada

UK-trained, with more than 15 years in pediatric and special-care dentistry across two countries, Dr. Anu chose this work for the honesty and joy kids bring into the room. She teaches pediatric dentistry at UBC and BC Children's Hospital.

Her philosophy is simple: baby teeth may be temporary, but the confidence a child builds in the dental chair lasts a lifetime.

Good questions, honest answers

When should my child first see a dentist? +

By their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing, whichever comes first. Early visits are short, friendly and mostly about getting comfortable.

What happens at the first visit? +

A tour, a ride in the chair, a gentle look around and a chat with you about habits and development. If your child isn't ready for more, that's completely fine. Trust comes first.

Can I stay with my child during treatment? +

Yes. Parents are welcome chairside, and for some kids a little independence works better, so we'll follow your lead and your child's cues.

My child is very anxious. What are the options? +

We go slow, explain everything in kid terms, and when needed offer sedation ranging from nitrous oxide to deeper options, always with a full safety assessment first.

Do you accept referrals and insurance? +

We welcome referrals from general dentists and physicians, and we bill most dental insurance plans directly. Bring your plan details to the first visit.
